What a beautiful summer this has been already!
Winter rain was such a pain,
but the flowers of Spring and Summer have been awesome!
Gosh!…can it be?  Am I already feeling a hint of Fall in the air?

————————————————————
Feels like I've been out of touch for such a long time with my customers and friends.  My husband and I experienced something in January, 2009 that I hope (I know!) we will never have to go through again.  It has taken us over 18 months to recover from that challenge, but God's a great rescuer!  Things are better than ever in the Alexander home, but I have really missed contact with my customers.  And speaking of the Alexander home…we have two (2) new grandbabies born in the last year!  If you would like to see pictures
just hop on over to my blog; http://www.nancysramblings.com.

In fact, I was going through some old emails from some of you just the other night.  Those emails talked a little about floral design, but more about our relationships.  Back then, I returned a lot of your emails personally, and enjoyed doing that.  It felt good to be an encourager for many of you who are going through the anguish of Fibromyalgia, like myself.  You expressed concern about my health and I returned the concern with words of encouragement based upon my own steps toward recovery from that dreadful disease.

No, I'm not cured from Fibromyalgia…yet…but I am well on the way, thanks to God and some God-sent people in my life.  Of course, my husband is my biggest fan and helper, but God has led me to a great endocrinologist and an outstanding nutritionist who are miracle workers!

But enough about me.  How are you doing?
How are your wreath and other floral projects coming along?
Please let me hear from you!  I would love it!

Another thing you need to start thinking about is:

C-H-R-I-S-T-M-A-S !

Oh yes…I know…It is so hard to think about Christmas.
But, I have been thinking…I know…Don't say it…When I say I've been thinking, friends, employees, and family seem to run in the other direction!  LOL… I wonder why!??

Anyway, now is the time to start brushing up on your bow-making skills to be ready to make bows for your home at Christmas!  And, I'll warn you!  Friends, relatives, and neighbors are going to want bows too when they see yours!  You can even make extra money for Christmas gifts this year with your bows!

So, here is a link to one of my bow-making videos just to refresh your
memory about how to tie a beautiful bow!  This video is on making a Christmas
Tree Topper, but just put in fewer, smaller loops, with shorter streamers for bows
to put on your Wreaths!

I really do regret that I haven't personally responded to your emails in a while now.  I wish I had the time to go back and answer each and every one I received.  You have touched me in ways you will never know!  I plan on sending out a newsletter again on a regular basis to start building back relationships with each of you.  I Miss You!

Thanks for taking the time to read this.
You'll never guess what we've been working on….more later!

  Twig Tips
How about something free?  My expertise was gained in bits and pieces, kinda like twigs.   So, I want to offer those tidbits to you in the same way: in bits and pieces.  Now, how could I charge for that?  So, they are free!  Totally free!

My twig tip for today is….

Honeysuckle.  Why are our wreath designs so unique, gorgeous and long-lasting?  We spell it h-o-n-e-y-s-u-c-k-l-e!  It certainly gives our creations that wild, woodsy and natural look and it also provides perfect resting places for bird nests and other critters.  It helps enhance the shape of the wreath and adds strength and durability to your wreath.  In fact, when you make a character wreath, some of those sentimental pieces are made of wood or pottery and can be quite heavy.  For example, if I want to add a clay pot to the wreath, I tie the honeysuckle into a ring and slide the pot into the ring – securing it with glue, and then covering it with fresh mosses.  The honeysuckle vine will hold such an addition securely and generally enhances or adds to the strength of the wreath base.

Drive down any wooded country road and you can find honeysuckle vines in the undergrowth or at the base of a tree or fence.  It likes to twine around these and grow up among the branches.  Now is the time of year to look for it, as honeysuckle has not begun to leaf out yet.  If you do happen to harvest honeysuckle when it has leaves on it, just let them dry and rub them off the stems.  Just cut the vine at the point where it comes up out of the ground and then merely pull the remainder of the vine out of the tree or bush.

As soon as you have collected the honeysuckle vine, wrap it around in a circle and secure it with wire.  This allows it to dry curved instead of straight, for as honeysuckle dries, it becomes brittle.  Only cut as much as you may need, so that it will be fresh as you add it to your wreath.  When incorporating honeysuckle into your twig wreath, use pipe cleaners or wire to tie it to the twig wreath base.  In fact, I demonstrate this process in every wreath-making video.  You can see these on my product page.  Be creative by having it extend above and below the wreath.  Make loops and curls; let your imagination be your guide.

2.  Monthly Sale Special

You must anticipate reading our newsletters to catch the various Ladybug Wreaths monthly specials.  If you have enjoyed our instructional videos or E-Books in the past or haven't yet tried one, you are in for a treat.  Be sure to watch for our "Special of the Month", where we will offer a product at a substantial savings to you.  You will find this special on the "Home" page of my LadybugWreaths.  With our instructional videos or E-Books, you can gain the knowledge and expertise to create your own masterpiece wreaths, swags and baskets to delight your family and friends as gifts or begin to bring in an extra income for you or your family.

Our first class, full color video series contains topics such as: Ribbons & Bows: the Next Chapter, head-turning Seasonal Wreaths, Character Wreaths for the special characters in your life, new Christmas Delights, and unique Table Arrangements and Centerpieces.  For a more modest price, you can learn all about these creations through E-Books, if that's more to your liking.

Make sure to CLICK HERE to see examples of my current selection of videos and E-Books, which are now available.  Keep watching my website and your newsletters for our new releases and products.

 3.  Personal Coaching

Another request from customers that has been received consistently since Ladybug Wreaths started turning out designer wreaths 25 years ago is for personal coaching classes in wreath-making.  Ladybug Wreaths is entertaining that thought, but first we want and need the input from you, the customer.

What kind of learner are you?  Before we roll out a coaching class, we want it to be custom tailored to your specific needs, as much as is practical.  So tell us, do you prefer one-on-one teaching or learning in small groups of 4 or 5 students?  Might you enjoy a larger class of, say, 15 eager students?  Do you want a one day class or would you perhaps prefer a weekend learning event, with other activities included?  Perhaps a webinar would fit your work, budget and/or lifestyle better.

Before Ladybug Wreaths kicks off this learning venture, we want to meet your needs in the most effective and most efficient way, so give us your feedback.  You can do so by responding via email to:

Be sure to add:  "Coaching With Nancy"
to your subject line!

4.  Brand New Products

Each change in season produces new ideas at Ladybug Wreaths.  Extending our current list of E-Books and instructional video topics, Ladybug Wreaths will be offering expanded ideas on the creation and uses for Ribbons & Bows.  New wreath creations and ideas for Christmas and Christmas table arrangements using fresh greens.

Ladybug Wreaths listens to and values its customers ideas and suggestions, too.  Many of you have inquired about the materials that Ladybug Wreaths employs in their wreaths and asked about our suppliers.  That list of suppliers, complete with names, addresses and telephone numbers is being compiled and will be available soon.

This newsletter will contain these new offerings, so check back often!
