Welcome
==============================================
WELCOME!
It is very important to me to get to know you, and also as
important that you get to know the real me. So no “formal” sales
stuff here. I just would like to give you useful information to
help you in your designing endeavors, while giving you tips and
bonuses along the way.
I will be sending out newsletters as often as possible. Right now,
I can’t promise more than one per month… But you never know! When
I come across great information that I think you can use, I’ll make
sure to get it out to you.
We have been very busy here lately. My youngest son got married in
April - wonderful wedding - and another exceptional
daughter-in-law! Boy am I blessed. And, by the way, she has already
joined the “Ladybug Staff”, (she is a banker with wonderful
organizational skills) - and I’m telling you, that is just what I
needed, and …. It’s nice when they’re in the family.
My other daughter-in-law, Sara is expecting our second grandchild
in a few weeks. Sara has worked for us for over a year now … she
is so good with words, just the greatest writer you can imagine! She
is priceless when it comes to my e-books and wreath descriptions.
Don’t have a name for the little baby girl yet - so right now her
official name is “Baby Girl”. We might still be calling her that
after she is born!

HERE’S A HANDY LITTLE PROJECT I LIKE TO DO…
At Ladybug Wreaths, we not only design and make beautiful wreaths
for your doors and walls, but we can tell you how to include your
surrounding area using containers and plants. Taking into
consideration the colors and theme of your wreath, you can design a
container that will enhance your home and garden by using
corresponding flowers and greenery.
Types and styles of containers are in abundance. You might already
have some that are perfect for this type of decorating… if not,
your local nurseries and home improvement centers have wonderful
choices these days. Or an avid yard-saler with a good eye can come
up with numerous items that turn out to be exactly what your space
needs. Maybe you like wall baskets, watering cans, or old sap
buckets. Wooden whiskey barrels and small crates are great for
larger designs. Whatever your personal style, I’m sure there is a
container that will compliment your lovely wreath.
Whether rustic or elegant, choosing plants for color, texture,
height, and growth habit is important for different containers.
When using baskets, be sure to line them with plastic, tearing or
cutting holes in the bottom and sides to allow for drainage.
Colorful flowers, trailing plants, and small ferns are perfect
choices for baskets.
Metal watering cans and sap buckets need to have holes in the
bottom. Depending on the size, four or five should be sufficient.
Wooden containers, such as whiskey barrels or crates need to be
treated with a waterproofing stain or clear coat to preserve the
wood to keep it from rotting. Using burlap or a similar porous
material is a good choice to line the container to hold the soil
and roots in place, while still allowing drainage. To acquire an
interesting arrangement, try using plants of different heights and
contrast. A dwarf juniper or arborvitaes in the middle and small
mounding flowers are good choices for larger containers. Add
trailing plants and you have a beautiful container. You can choose
all of these greens and flowers which will accent and mimic the
style of your beautiful wreath. Using these will enhance your
wreath and tie everything together.

About the Author: Nancy Alexander and her team design beautiful,
one-of-a-kind wreaths and wall baskets for their loyal customers.
Custom Wreaths, as well as Character Wreaths are very popular!
With her 20 plus years of experience in floral design and interior
design, she has created 4 e-books on wreath design, and four videos
on bows, wreath design, and wall basket design.

Hi Nancy,
Just a note to let you know, that my business is starting to grow, I started last year, I have been making wreaths, for over ten years, but was only in the last year or so, able to devote more time, designing and placing them for sale on EBAY!
Just wanted you to know, that you were and continue to be my inspiration with your beautiful door wreaths!!!
I continue to be inspired and purchased two of your birch bases, to do my own wreaths, loved them, however, the way prices are nowadays, I normally use the natural oval grapevines.
My customers seem to be happy with their wreaths, and I am so excited, that I finally get to do something, as I am getting older, that I have always wanted to do and enjoy so much. I loved getting the newsletter, also. Thanks again, Nancy and…..
Thanks so much for your inspiration, and Blessings to you! Sherry
