At 28 years of age, that’s how old I was when I became sick, it was very depressing to wake up in the morning not knowing how my body was going to feel when I stood up – if I would be able to do anything that day to make it worthwhile was questionable. Would I be able to drive my children to school? Would I finally be able to attend a basketball game? Could I get in my car and run errands? Or even accomplish the simplest of tasks around my home that everyone takes for granted. You see, I have been sick for almost 30 years with fibromyalgia and celiac disease, and various other health problems relating to these conditions.
Why am I telling you this? I receive heart-wrenching emails from so many of you who feel just exactly the same way that I did all those years ago. You need joy, purpose, excitement, a reason to feel alive, and a reason to make you jump out of bed with such a start that even you are surprised. You need a hobby that makes you feel good about yourself, one that you can share with friends and neighbors, and one that you are really good at!

There has never been a single person in my 25 years of design experience that I could not teach.
I have poured my heart into my videos, so that you can share my accomplishments and my joys with me. I am so excited for you knowing what lies ahead! Something magic happens when I stand in front of those cameras. Most of the time I am a little shy and maybe a little withdrawn, but not when I’m teaching. I am able to stand there and describe every single step in the wreath design process with you because I LOVE IT!

As 2008 rapidly comes to a close,
I have a new dream for 2009 with my videos.
I have been recording videos for a little over a year now. My first one was done with a new video camera and microphone I purchased. It went very well - even better than expected, considering it was my first “shoot”.
I then hired a professional videographer for the next videos. He was good and I was even more pleased with the quality and information I was able to convey with each new one we filmed for you.
I became more and more comfortable in front of the camera and actually felt like I could look right into the camera and talk to “you”!
My next big step was to hire a video crew using three cameras and professional lighting. They are very experienced and regularly film shows for television, commercials, and much more. They say I am a natural… well, I don’t know about that…???, but I do know that I LOVE it! I get lots of encouragement from them to continue my video pursuits and make my dreams go much further.
In feedback I receive from customers, I have several ideas for new videos.
Some of you want to know how to set up a business selling your own designs. Others want me to create more videos that demonstrate my special techniques for making table arrangements. And then many of you have asked about the best places to purchase materials for your designs. You want to know where I get supplies from, you want to purchase at lower prices so when you sell your creations, you can make a profit. I understand that all too well. All of these ideas are much appreciated. I want to know if my explanations are clear for every step so that you completely understand. Are there enough details when I describe steps on the zoom-in shots? What else would you like to learn? What can I personally do to help you reach your goals when it comes to floral designs?
